The Fishery Farm Aquarium Club — Free to Join

The Aquarium Club is a free club for children who like fish more than is strictly reasonable.

It costs nothing. There is no card, no fee, and nothing to buy.

A parent signs up, tells us about the tank at home, and Yechiel reads it himself.

Members get his eight aquarium care guides, the free printables, news when a new book lands, and a chance at the monthly showcase.

What you get

  • A shot at the monthly showcase

Send in a description of your tank and Yechiel reads it. Some of them get featured in the monthly Fishery Farm showcase.

  • All eight aquarium care guides

Water, salt, feeding, filters, algae, the lot — written by a marine biologist of forty-nine years, in language a nine-year-old can actually use.

  • Printables for the fridge

Free downloads for home and classroom: colouring pages, activity sheets, and the sample chapters.

  • News when a new book lands

Ten books are planned in the George the Cranky Guppy series. Club members hear the moment the next one goes live.

How it works (Parent-Led)

Parents send the submission, not children. You describe your child's aquarium — tank size, which fish, what they are called — and we consider it for the monthly showcase.

Yechiel reads every one. Sending something in does not guarantee it gets published, and anything we do publish is reviewed first.

Privacy First

Please do not send your child's full name, face, home address, school, phone number, or private details.

We will never publish a photograph of a child's face. Nicknames, initials, or no name at all are all perfectly fine — the fish are the point.

* Note for our young readers: please ask your parents' permission before signing up.

Ready when you are

Three fields, about a minute, and then you can go back to watching the tank.

Answers from the club

Nothing here yet. Yechiel is writing answers to the questions members send in, and they go up one at a time.

Until then, the eight care guides cover the ground most of them start from.

Questions we get asked

Is the Aquarium Club really free?

Yes. There is no fee, no card, and nothing to buy — now or later. The only thing we ask for is a description of your child's aquarium, because that is the part we actually enjoy reading. Everything the club sends you, from the care guides to the showcase news, costs nothing.

How old do you have to be to join?

There is no age limit on the fish-loving, but a parent, guardian, or teacher has to do the joining. The form asks for an adult's email address, and every reply we send goes to that adult. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under thirteen, and we never write to a child.

What do you do with my email address?

It does two things. It reaches Yechiel with your child's aquarium description attached, and it joins our mailing list so we can send occasional news about new books and free resources. We never sell it, rent it, or pass it to anyone for their marketing. Ask us and we delete it.

Will my child's photo be published?

No. We do not publish photographs of children's faces under any circumstances. If a submission is picked for the monthly showcase, Yechiel reviews it first and publishes it redacted — a nickname, initials, or no name at all. Please do not send faces, full names, addresses, schools, or phone numbers.

How do I leave the club?

Email yechiel@yechielsfisheryfarm.com and say so. We remove the address and delete any submission attached to it, and we answer every parent or guardian request within thirty days. There is no account to close and no form to fill in. One message is enough, and we will not ask you why.

Anything else, or a request to delete your details: yechiel@yechielsfisheryfarm.com. The full privacy policy spells out exactly what we keep and for how long.
