Book 1
The Water Has Opinions
George the guppy has opinions. About water temperature. About his neighbor's rasping mouth on the back wall. About mornings in general. This morning, however, George has woken up somewhere that is not his tank, soaking in water that tastes of pennies and old rain and what he can only describe as wrong. Somewhere, something has gone badly sideways. George intends to find out what. He is not, for the record, cranky. He is displaced. There is a difference.
Book 2
George and the Mosquito Patrol
George's new job is simple. Find mosquito larvae. Eat mosquito larvae. Save the bog from becoming a flying, buzzing nightmare. It would be the perfect job if not for one small complication. A celebrity. While George works quietly below the surface, an archerfish becomes the most admired fish in the bog by shooting insects out of the air. The crowds love him. The applause grows. And George begins to feel something he doesn't entirely like. Something prickly. Something cranky. Something that might be much harder to swallow than a mosquito larva.

George Meets the Salt Line
Water has a secret. If you add salt to one end of a tank and fresh water to the other, and forget to stir — the two layers do not mix. They sit, one on top of the other, with a sharp invisible wall between them. The wall has a name: the salt line. George the Cranky Guppy is about to find out what it feels like to cross one by accident. His colors will tell you exactly how that goes. A mistake was made. It was not his. That, unfortunately, does not matter to the water.

The Fizzy Bog Mystery
George the Cranky Guppy has, until this morning, had the bog running exactly as a bog ought to run: quietly, efficiently, and without too many surprises. Then something approximately the size of an eyelash swam directly into his face and asked what's that. There are hundreds of them. They are in his patrol patch. One of them is now following him. What exactly is Yechiel preparing in that covered tank — and why has he stopped drinking tea?
